Area Tracks
The Southern Arizona Region of PCA primarily uses four tracks in our area. Here's a short
note about of each of those, along with links to full descriptions including photos, track
maps and some video. Below, you will find the links to other track in the area.
A new track joins our already interesting mix of
Driver Education style Autocross events! Musselman
Honda Circuit is a local Kart track that suits our needs very well. Only 0.8 Miles in length but has
the right mix of corners and is lighted for nightime use.
We hold Driver Education style Autocross events at
Pinal Air Park, a 1.2 mile road course
that is safe and exciting. Even if you don't want to drive your car on the track, we can
always use help in running the events, so come on out.
Driver Education style Autocross events, are
also held at Central Arizona College (CAC) near Casa
Grande, AZ. This track is within easy reach of both Tucson and the greater Phoenix area. It
is noted for the variety of corner types, the differences in the linkages between them, and
it's smooth surface.
Our Driver Education events are
held at Arroyo Seco Raceway in Deming, NM. These events
provide maximum driving experience, lots of laps and plenty of instruction for novice,
intermediate and even advanced drivers.
In addition to our primary activities, we occasionally hold Car Control Clinics in the
parking lot of our local drag strip, Southwest
International Raceway (SIR). We are
constantly looking for new venues for this important event. Check the front page of
our website under Upcoming Events, for announcements about all of the above listed
activities.
We also organize trips to other clubs' events, such as the
Arizona Border Region of SCCA autocross,
Sierra Vista Sports Car Club's (SSCC) autocross at Fort Huachuca, and other venues.
The Arizona Region PCA also holds Driver education events at
Firebird International
Raceway (FIR) in Chandler AZ where there are three different courses.
Occasionally, Arizona Region PCA events are held at
Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) which is also located in the Phoenix area.
If you haven't been out to one of these events, come and find out why
Porsche handling is so famous, and meet other Porsche enthusiasts who
are enjoying their cars in thrilling ways."
There are several great places around Southern Arizona to enjoy your car's
handling and speed. Seven locations are shown on the map. Also check our
calendar for track schedule information.
